Certification to ISO/TS 16949:2000 in accord. with the IATF registration scheme & customer specific requir., will be recogized by subscribing members to the IATF. Release defined by ISO/TC 176 This revised version of ISO/TS 16949 aligns with ISO/TS 9001:2000 (released December, 2000). Subscribing members to the IATF will recognize certification to ISO/TS 16949:2002, in accordance with the IATF registration scheme and customer specific requirements. The release of ISO/TS 16949:2002 is in accordance with the arrangements defined by ISO/TC 176. The international Automotive Task Force (IATF) is the recognizing body for the ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements document and registration scheme. The ISO/TS 16949 manual is based on ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:1999 and defines quality systems requirements in the automotive supply chain. IATF developed a common registration scheme for supplier third party registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002 to be recognized by all IATF members.
