The object of this Code is to specify and discuss themethods and instrumentation for testing boiler makeupand feedwater, steam, and condensate in relation toperformance testing as may be required in PerformanceTest Codes in one-time acceptance testing and continuousperformance monitoring.
This Code also provides guidance to power-plantmanagement, engineers, chemists, and operators in thedesign and operation of sampling systems for monitoringof cycle chemistry. The methods and equipment recommendedherein may be useful for monitoring otherinfluent and effluent streams of the power plant.
Contamination of the steam and water cycle must beat or less than the maximum specified for the performancetest before a turbine, condenser, or deaerator performancetest is made.
