This slide presentation gives information on a water conservation plan that was used by the city of Bozeman, Montana, to meet its needs for: expanding water treatment capacity; new storage; demand forecasting; determining whether existing water supplies are adequate; and, analyzing the economic benefits. The methodology for developing such a plan included: data collection; developing demand projection model; developing capital/financial models; analyzing the range of conservation options; and, preparing a report to the City with recommendations. Other topics of information given in this report include: description of the existing system; a listing of the existing raw water sources; treated water output; use by customer category; monthly use by sector; demand modeling; efficiency parameters; baseline water demands; conservation options and scenarios; financial models; capital spending baseline; table of annual costs; and, water savings, costs and benefits for three different scenarios.
