Dagua, a Canadian manufacturer of prefabricated drinking water treatment plants forsmall communities has developed two versions of its DaguaFlo to treat high and lowturbidities for surface water or groundwater contaminated by surface water. The built-in unit integrates ozone disinfection, ultrafiltration, biological filtration andultraviolet lamps. During an on-going pilot study in Farnham, this unit treatedraw waters with turbidities of 95 NTU down to less than 0.05 NTU. Another casestudy in Eastman illustrates the lower capital costs and operational costs of thesecond unit version. Includes 3 references, tables, figures.
