This slide presentation outlines information on a project to evaluate whether the immunoassay (IMA) method couldbe used to further understand atrazine occurrencein the United States. Specific objectives were to improve the drinking water community's understanding oftriazine occurrence patterns in U.S. source waters, and togain a better understanding of short-term variability inatrazine occurrence. The study is based on a 2004 survey of 47 treatment plants that used the Abraxis ELISA atrazinetestkit to measure atrazineoccurrence in drinking water (rawand finished) on a weekly basis. Topics covered include: elements of the 2004 atrazine monitoring program; and, regulatory issues.
