An investigation into available optionsresulted in very different solutions being implemented in each of the service districts. Inone case, a smaller impeller was swapped into the casing of a larger pump. In thesecond pumping station, the pump impellers were simply trimmed by a machine shop toyield considerable power savings. At another station, new, smaller pumps werepurchased to meet demand effectively.
