This slide presentation outlines how special community events can build support and enhance your project. The planning, execution, and results of two case studies are presented. The Shoal Creek Filter Plant inGwinnett County, Georgia, that used the Lanier Community Outreach andLiaisonCommunity outreach plan through 3+years of construction. Special events for Shoal Creek, planning for all the events, media day, formal dedication, community open house are outlined. The second case study involved the Hickory Log Creek Dam andReservoir in Canton, Georgia and was organized as a joint effort between theCity of Canton and CobbCounty-Marietta Water Authority. The Community-Wide ProjectKickoff Event, Theme and Messages for theDam and Reservoir, project logo, and pre-kickoff and kickoff activities are outlined. Lessons learned, planning, and what to include are all provided.
