This slide presentation outlines a case study of a system-wide water audit at the El Dorado Irrigation District. It was part of AwwaRF Project #2928, Leakage Management Technologies. The scope of the project included two phases: standard IWA/AWWA recommended Water Balance and Audit, final report received September 2005; and, Leak Detection and Intervention, pilot testing applicability of district metered area (DMA) monitoring and analysis, and advanced pressure management technology. System input volume (SIV) is outlined, along with apparent losses from small and large meters and real losses from leaks and/or breaks. Further topics outlined include: leak detection; economic level of leakage (ELL); short-term ELL for EID; medium/long term ELL for EID; and, performance indicators.
