This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Orange County (Florida) Utilities (OCU) conducting a comprehensive tabletop exercise (TTE) with Partner Utilities in July 2006 involving FloridaWARN (FlaWARN). They werebased on actual hurricane events of 2004, and had the central goal of improving the OrangeCounty Emergency Management Plan. An example of a TTE is presented, based on the 2004composite case history, and examples of Exercise Structure, integrating the use of FlaWARN, participant roles, exercise player objectives, and evaluations by exercise participantsand observers are all provided. Findings and recommendations include the following: summary of exercise findings indicatedsome tweaking was in order; effective response to multiplestorms and areas of improvement addressed; FlaWARN going forward; and, potential FlaWARN enhancements.
