This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Denver Water and its Tap Smart program. Tap Smart goals are presented and include the following: reduce water consumption by 39,400 AF by 2016;system-wide gallons per capita per day from 211 to 165; this is an overall 22% reduction in consumption; and,reduction goals are supported by reducing waste throughactive conservation and increasing the rate of naturalreplacement of efficient appliances and fixtures. Aspects of removing barriers to create acommitment to water conservation are provided, along with program examples that get results, the Tap Smart irrigation kit, the Wise Outdoor Watering pilot, low income/nonprofit retrofits, and successes outside of water use.
