This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, and the Middleton Water Supply System's problem with low-level contamination by Trichloroethylene (TCE). Treatment alternatives are presented, and Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) using ultraviolet (UV) plus hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) wasselected as the preferred alternative by the Region. Implementation of Interim Treatment approach is presented, along with design general concept, implementation timeline, fabrication/preparation, G3 preparation, site modifications, permitting, installation, and start-up.
