This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) and the current status of the water resources in Northern California. SSWD's water supply sustainabilitychallenges are presented and include the following:balance conjunctive use costs with rate impacts;uncertainty of projected demands;regional contamination plumes; and,long-term decline (overdraft) of groundwater. The Master Plan is presented as addressing the following issues: it estimates a sustainablegroundwater pumping target for SSWD; it develops a sustainableconjunctive use plan to meet SSWD's needs; and, it estimates SSWD availableexcess groundwater pumping capacity. The SSWD Water System Master Plandecision-making process is presented. Includes figures.
