This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of photocatalysis for water treatment. Adsorbent catalyst supports are presented, along with synthesis of SiO<sub>2</sub>-TiO<sub>2</sub> composites (STC), STC testing and characterization, STC performance testing, and presentation conclusions that indicate the following: STC were created with varying pore sizes andsurface areas;TiO<sub>2</sub> addition decreased specific surface area andpore volume;up to 87% of the TiO<sub>2</sub> was available on thesurface of the STCs;more TiO<sub>2</sub> surface area was available withincreased TiO<sub>2</sub> loading;IEP and band gap energies of the STCs were notlargely affected; and,STC successfully degraded TOC of graywater toless than the 500 ppb limit.
