This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of global perspectives on the evolving role of water/wastewater utilities that places greater focus on sustainability, affordability, and social responsibility. Inadequacies of traditional paradigms are presented, along with a portfolio management framework that includes: effective prioritization enables utilities tofulfill fiduciary responsibilities; formal prioritization enables balancing of impacts; and, redefining "revenue requirements" toenable exercise of evolving role.
