This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of sustainable water infrastructure, water infrastructureexpenditures, current annual waterinfrastructure funding, and the federal role. The Federal Infrastructure FundingStudy objective:find the financing option(s) with thegreatest opportunity to providesignificant, subsidized capital forwater infrastructure projects whilelimiting the cost to the federalgovernment. Federal infrastructure fundingfinancing options are presented and include: existing mechanisms - State Revolving Fund (SRF), state bond banks, andfederal guarantees; and, new possible mechanisms - public/private banks,government-sponsored enterprises, and theFederal Water Infrastructure Bank (FWIB). FWIB purposes would be to provide financial assistance for large waterprojects, andreduce leveraging cost for SRFs. FWIB financing options are presented, along with infrastructure bank legislation.
