This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Arsenic Compliance Plan for the Arrowhead and Bakersfield Wells and the S. Upper Truckee Wellfield of northern California. Corrosion concerns in theChristmas Valley pressure zone are presented, along with water quality issues related tocorrosion, corrosion control alternatives, and aeration alternatives. The Clement Well packed tower air stripper is presented, including pilot testing, the pilot aeration unit, and linear polarization probes andcopper tubing. Findings forcopper corrosion related to aeration and aeration plus sodium silicate are provided, along with findings forlead-tin solder corrosion, formild steel corrosion, and for galvanized steel corrosion.
