This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the city of Alamosa, Colorado, and a project to bring the city's arsenic level into compliance with the January 2001 update of the Arsenic Rule maximum contaminant level. An overview of the water treatment plant is provided, along with raw water quality, and process selection, with coagulation/membrane filtration (CMF) being the process selected. Pilot testing involved two submerged membrane manufacturers thatwere compared side by side in a 4-month test. Equipment procurement, design, construction, challenges, and successes are all presented along with a project timeline.
