Pilot tests demonstrated that groundwater contaminated with hexavalent chromium could be reliably and economically treated to drinking water standards by a process incorporating ferrous iron reduction of the chromium at an SR of 125 percent. The proposed 0.26 m3 full-scale plant would both remediate a contaminated aquifer and return an important source of potable water for the City of Camden, New Jersey to service.
