A new technique for analysis of lead and copper on-site is now available, using a robust, portable, battery-powered instrument and disposable electrochemical sensors. The method may be used in the laboratory but is designed for use on-site at the "point of use" thus avoiding the risk of samples changing in transit. The analytical method is based on differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV), a standard technique available in research laboratories for many years.
