This paper discusses the development of a filter media for the removal of arsenic from drinking water. The media has proven capable of reducing arsenic from 700 ug/L to less than 2 ug/L. Results of bench-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale commercial implementation of this media are discussed. The media is effective over pH range 5.0-8.0, produces a low volume of waste, and is resistant to common interferences in the background water quality matrix.
