The objective of this paper is to evaluate the applicability of a simplified mesoscale model of solute transport across potable water nanofiltration membranes. Also, the effects of background water quality and operating conditions on contaminant removal are investigated by comparing solute mass transport coefficients. The effect of membrane type on its selectivity is also discussed.
