The purpose of this paper is to describe the method used to explain changes in monthly water use in the service area of the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Results show that usage is significantly affected by population growth, weather, a set of seasonal variables and conservation. Conservation appears to occur in spring, fall and winter; not in the summer.
