This slide presentation outlines information on the development of a distribution systemmanagement plan to:reduce disinfection byproducts;improve residual maintenance; and, preserve high aesthetic water quality. There were three components of the project. The first was distribution water quality assessment, includingevaluation of current corrosion control program, andidentification of opportunity for improvement. The second part of the project waspilot testing for corrosion control, includingevaluation of alternative pH conditions, chloramines vs chlorine, and corrosion inhibitors. The third part waspilot testing for nitrification control, including anassessment of pH control, ammonia control, chlorite, and chlorine for controlling AOB propagation.
