The history, uses, and methods of cement mortar lining of pipe is discussed. The history of cement-mortar lining has followed rather closely the development and use of ferrous-based metal pipes for the transmission of water. Three methods are involved in lining the pipe: centrifugal application, troweling, and curling. Each method is described in some detail. Advantages of rehabilitation over replacement are listed.
