Several specific methodologies can be used to conduct a Vulnerability Assessment (VA).The two most common methods are the following:Risk Assessment Methodology (RAM-WTM) developed by Sandia NationalLaboratories in conjunction with the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA); and,Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool (VSATTM) developed by AMSA with USEPAfunding. Both can be used effectively and are likely to meet Bioterrrorism Act (PL 107-188)requirements and any future guidance or legislation regarding VAs for wastewaterfacilities. This paper presents the key differences between these two popular VAmethodologies and the results using these methods. Includes 2 references, tables, figures.
