$15.00$30.00

Research conducted using miniature columns of granular activated carbon has demonstrated the importance of pH in the removal of total organic carbon and trihalomethane precursors from coagulated Mississippi River. The reduction of organics by coagulation improves dramatically as the pH is decreased to 5. The combined effects of pH on coagulation and adsorption highlight the need for pH control. Includes 15 references, tables, figures.
