Features to be considered for the efficient operation of any water system during the next decade are meeting future consumption demands, inflation, rising costs of chemicals, energy, labor, and materials. The Atlanta, Georgia water system has established a computer control system to provide an accurate, reliable reporting process. Pumping stations, computer versatility, pressure, flow rates, and energy conservation are discussed.
