  • Journal AWWA - Notes and Comments: Leaching of Organics From a PVC-Polyethylene-Plexiglass Pilot Plant
  • Journal Article by American Water Works Association, 10/01/1981

$15.00$30.00

Tests performed to determine the potential of a water treatment pilot plant constructed from conventional materials to release or remove organic compounds as it is used to model water treatment. The results indicate that the use of a pilot plant constructed of judiciously selected plastic materials may not interfere with studies of organics removal. Chloroform, trichloroethylene, benzene, toluene, and carbon tetrachloride were among the volatile organics sampled. Includes 2 references, tables, figure.
