By using the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's eutrophication model, significant improvements in Lake Ray Hubbard water quality could be achieved as a result of initiation of advanced water treatment for phosphorus removal from adjacent communities' domestic wastewater discharges. Taste- and odor-producing planktonic algal chlorophyll, iron, and aluminum hydrous oxide are discussed. Includes 14 references, tables, figures.
