Chlorophyll measurement can be a viable substitute for the more costly and tedious algal counting method used by many utilities as a raw water quality parameter. A simplified procedure for chlorophyll measurements is presented, and suggestions are made on how water utilities can correlate the results of these analyses with raw water quality parameters of importance to them.
