This paper discusses various applications of nanofiltration (NF) membranes andspecifically addresses the use of UTC-20 and UTC-60 NF membranes to removepesticides from drinking water. The UTC-20 membrane has a greater number ofcationic groups in its chemical structure than anionic groups. Conversely, theUTC-60 membrane contains more anionic than cationic groups. Results are presentedof experiments in which atrazine and simazine were added to feed water and theseparation performances of UTC-02 and UTC-60 membranes were determined. The paperalso describes newly developed super ultra low pressure NF membranes. Includes 6 references, tables, figures.
