This slide presentation outlines information on two pilot studies that evaluated rejection, removal mechanisms, and residual effects on membrane performance. The first was the New York City Department ofEnvironmental Protection (NYCDEP) Station 6 Demonstration Project that evaluated nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for feed water with methyl-tert-butyl-ether (MTBE) and PCE. The second was the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) Irvine Desalter Project (IDP) that piloted RO membranes at two different well sites with water containing TCE. The presentation includes a bibliography.
