Although the ability of high intensity pulsed ultraviolet (UV) to readily inactivate Cryptosporidium in water supplies makes the treatment of drinking water it's highest visibility application, the qualities and characteristics of INNOVATECH's Pulsed UV system are such that there are many other extremely attractive applications. This paper addresses the characteristics and advantages of pulsed UV, various applications and potential markets. Tests with INNOVATECH's High Intensity Pulsed UV system have demonstrated the potential of high intensity pulsed UV from a xenon flash tube to inactivate Cryptosporidium and other waterborne pathogens in a noninvasive, cost-effective manner.
