This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and its Water Efficient TechnologiesProgram (W.E.T.). The W.E.T. Program is designed to encourage capital improvements thatcan result in saving at least 500,000 gallons per year, provides anincentive of up to $150,000 per property, and offers two Program Tracks that include:Menu Item - select from a list of pre-approvedtechnologies with assigned incentive values; and,performance-based - for custom conservationsolutions (rebate contingent on performance). The status of the Cooling Towers Program is presented, along with Conclusions: SNWA's efforts to facilitate improvements in the waterefficiency of cooling towers appears to be successful;for those properties partnering with SNWA, CR hasgone from 2.22 up to 3.45 (an improvement of 1.23);this represents an annual savings of approximately673,760 gallons for each 100 tons of cooling capacity;for the average facility visited, this equates to anaverage savings of 17,718,414 gallons annually; and, this is a 45% savings in blow-down water. Includes tables, figures.
