  • Conference Proceeding by American Water Works Association, 01/01/2008
  • Publisher: AWWA

$12.00$24.00

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing background information on Lab-on-Chip portable technology, and lists analytical tools for portable testing of water quality along with currently available colorimetric tests, inorganic contaminants and related parameters, electrochemical analytical approaches, ASV differential pulse voltage profile, ASV of metals, and Nitrate by Voltammetry using Macro Silver Disk and Ag Microarray. Conclusions:Lab-on-Chip Technology can produce transducer arrays with thepotential to measure a large number of analytes in a commonprocedure;highly selective sensors that can directly measure an analyte canbe easily multiplexed;multiplexing the measurement of a large number of analytes usingless selective methods or that require sample pretreatment isdifficult due to the unique requirements of each analytical method; and,the need for running an analyte on every sample should becarefully considered when developing a multi-analyte system.
