This paper describes the results of a study conducted to determine themicrobial inactivation of the chlorine-resistant protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum and other test microbes by mixed oxidants generated from two electrochemical cells quite different in their size. One cell is in the form of a small "pen" intended to disinfect personal drinking water supplies and the other is a larger, bench-scale unit used as a model for systems made to disinfect municipal drinking water supplies. Includes 10 references, tables, figures.
