This paper describes the use of coagulation models and the streaming current detector (SCD)for the control of chemical feed rates in the Grand Rapids Lake Michigan Filtration Plant(LMFP) and the Holland Water Treatment Plant (HWTP), Holland, Michigan. The LMFP is the sitewhere the method for simulating coagulation processes was originally developed. The HWTPplant is unique in that it employs both a streaming current detector and coagulation model. The case studies presented in this paper provide better insight into chemical feedcontrol using coagulation models and the streaming current detector (SCD). Includes 7 references, tables, figures.
