The objective of this study was to develop a robust method of predicting DBPs using a two-specieskinetic model that used fluorescence intensity as a measure of the reactive natural organic matter (NOM) fraction. The model was able to well-simulate the long-term Total Trihalomethane (TTHM) formation of a coagulated waterafter chlorination and reasonably predict the TTHM formation of a granular activated carbontreated water. Includes 2 references, table, figures.
