This slide presentation outlines a study on TTHM and HAA5 modeling and improvement planning in a full-scale distribution system. Objectives included: conduct TTHM and HAA5 modelingbased on calibrated hydraulic model toidentify locations with potential high disinfection byproduct (DBP)levels; and, evaluate alternative improvement plansfor identified hydraulic and water qualitydeficiencies. Achieving the objectives involved: developing calibrated hydraulic model; improvement for hydraulic deficiencies; calibrating water quality model; improvement for water quality deficiencies; improvement planning; and, cost estimates for all improvement alternatives. The summary of the study includes: identified locations with potential highlevels of TTHM and HAA5; and, selected the optimum improvement planbased on identified multiple conflictingobjectives. Includes figures.
