Key analytical methodologies and techniques for control of concentration of chlorine dioxide in drinkingwater treatment applications have been identified. The importance of maintaining balance in dosing andcorrect content of the disinfectant was demonstrated. Maintenance protocols were established formonitoring of the disinfectant using reagentless ClO2 analyzers and illustrated by the examples from onedrinking water plant. The correct installation, cleaning and calibration of these systems were provencritical through the case study. Includes 5 references, figures.
