The objective of this powerpoint presentation was to determine the conditions when bacteriaare present in bulk water or are present inbiofilms.A pipe loop system was used that included aPilot scale, operated in real drinking water environment, with three pipes and three corresponding tanks.Three experiments were performed:Experiment 1 (Well 28) - ten months, variable - residual chlorine concentration;Experiment 2 (Booster station 128) - three months, no chlorine present, variable: residence time; and,Experiment 3 (Booster station 128) - three months, chlorine present, variable - residence time.Water velocity was 1 ? 0.2 ft/s, water temperature was 17 ? 5ºC. Includes figures.
