This slide presentation outlines information on a project to update water quality monitoring processes, policies and procedures at the Birmingham, Alabama, Water Works and Sewer Board based on issues that came to light as a result of the vulnerability assessment and emergency response plan. The project was organized into five categories that included: optimum locations for on-line monitors; optimize sampling distribution; adequate number of sampling locations; baseline data for evaluating a threat; and, adequate staffing for the project.
