This slide presentation outlines online water quality monitoring event detection and describes its processes which include: applying event detection algorithms to the data tofilter out the anomalies that normally occur, or whichhave known causes;signaling only those events that are likely to be possiblecontamination incidents; and, reducing the false positive rate without missing potential events.
