SCTE 22-3 2002 (R2007)

This document outlines the Management Information Bases (MIBs) for high-speed data-over-cable systemsdeveloped by the DOCSIS Data Over Cable Services working group.Three Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) MIBs are defined. The first is the DOCSIS Radio FrequencyInterface (RFI) MIB and defines objects that enable management of the CATV MAC and PHY layer interfaces. Thesecond is the DOCSIS Cable Device (CD) MIB and defines objects that enable management of CMs and CableModem Termination Systems (CMTSs). The third is DOCSIS Base Line Interface (BPI) MIB and defines objects thatenable management of security features in the CM and CMTS.This specification is intended to enable prospective vendors of cable modems and other data-over-cable systems toaddress the operations support requirements in a uniform and consistent manner.
