Aalborg University in the north Jutland region of Denmark was chartered in 1974 and represents an innovative educational experiment with project-based teaching concepts. The university started with approximately 900 students. Twenty years later Aalborg University is thriving and student enrollment has increased to an estimated 10,000 students. This paper examines how project-based teaching at Aalborg University has led to major engineering curriculum reforms.
