It is essential to introduce manufacturing practices using NC machine tools and computers into the curriculum for undergraduate students majoring in mechanical engineering since computer aided manufacturing prevails in industry. Nevertheless, manufacturing practices do not occupy the interest of students since the content and the facilities are old-fashioned in many universities. Besides, there is often no intimate connection between university training and related lectures. The present paper describes the system, then introduces how it works, and finally discusses a further improvement.
