The Environmental Room is an essential part of the powder coating process. The Environmental Room controls humidity, temperature and reduces the possibility of foreign particulate from contaminating the coating process. Environmental Rooms ensure consistent finished parts, increase productivity, reduce rejects and minimizes downtime. Design criteria are: smooth, easily cleaned and durable wall surfaces. The enclosure must be capable of one piece high walls and clear freespan roofs. It must be fully insulated (R-12) and class A fire rated. There has been a recent major trend to modern modular construction for Environmental Rooms due to its flexibility, fast occupancy and low cost.
