THE HOLLOW STREAM-LINED-DIE EXTRUSION AND DRAWING ARE COMPLEX METAL FORMING PROCESSES. IN ORDER TO HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EXTRUSION AND DRAWING PROCESSES, TWO SIMULATIONS OF THREE DIMENSIONAL FINITE ELEMENT METHOD ON THE HOLLOW COLD EXTRUSION AND DRAWING WERE CARRIED OUT. IMPORTANT FACTORS IN THE PROCESSES SUCH AS DIE FILL, DISTRIBUTIONS OF VON MISES STRESS AND STRAIN, AND FORMING FORCES WERE DISCUSSED AND COMPARED. FINAL RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AND SHOWED VERY GOOD CO-RELATION. THE FINAL INFORMATION IS SHOWN TO BE USEFUL FOR DIE DESIGN AND PROCESS DESIGN.
