THE HEAT-INSULATED CERAMIC ENGINE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR EIGHT YEARS. SOME STEPS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A CERAMICS TURBO COMPOUND ENGINE IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL ARE DESCRIBED. THE GRINDING METHODS ARE VERY EFFECTIVE FOR INCREASING THE STENGTH OF CERAMIC PARTS, BECAUSE WE OBSERVED MANY MICRO CRACKS AFTER GRINDING AT THE ENGINE PARTS WITH WEAK STRENGTH. THEREFORE, GRINDING PROCESSES WERE STUDIED TO REDUCE AFFECTED LAYER AND TO MAKE BETTER ROUGHNESS OF SURFACE. IN THIS PAPER, THE METHODS OF EVALUATION STUDY DESCRIBED IN CERAMIC ENGINE PARTS INCLUDED SURFACE CONDITION OF MICRO-STRUCTURE, STRESS CONDITION, AND EFFICIENCY OF GRINDING PROCESS.
