A LAGRANGIAN MODEL OF COOLANT FLOW IS BEING DEVELOPED FOR STUDYING COOLANT FLOW IN THE IMPROVED WHEEL DURING THE GRINDING OPERATION. A STREAM OF COOLANT HAS BEEN MODELED AS A SERIES OF DROPS COMING OUT OF A NOZZLE. THE TRAJECTORIES OF THE DROPS CAN BE SEEN AS THEY MOVE TOWARDS THE WHEEL AND REFLECT FROM IT. THE IMPROVED WHEEL SURFACE HAS A SERIES OF NOTCHES. IT IS CONCLUDED THAT MAKING NOTCHES ON THE SURFACE OF THE WHEEL DOES INCREASE THE FLUID FLOW IN THE GRINDING ZONE.
